Mr. García-Palacios has worked as acting Secretary for Economic Development for the State of Chiapas, International Business consultant for US companies in the field of the environment in Mobile Emissions as well as Waste Management, Correctional, Infrastructure projects for water and tourism. Trade Advisor for the State of Chiapas, Trade Commissioner for the State of Tabasco and Chief of Delegation and Trade Missions to OTC as well as Oil & Gas Shows in Mexico from 2004 to 2007. International correspondent for the Cafes de Mexico trade magazine. During his government position has been liaison between the State Government and the US and Canadian Embassies and others.
